In consideration of recent restrictions introduced to address the COVID-19 threat, we have made the decision to postpone Litter Congress 2020.

Our primary concern is for the health and wellbeing of attendees, speakers and our staff, and in the current climate, it would not be feasible to proceed as we had planned.

With the plan to start easing restrictions announced in early May, we have tentatively rebooked Litter Congress for 18 and 19 November 2020 so please mark these dates in your diary, further updates will be issued as they occur.

If you have questions, please contact We will endeavour to respond to all enquiries as quickly as possible

Thank you for your continued support as we all navigate this unprecedented situation.

Litter management is an issue spanning multiple industries and interest groups. The solution to keeping litter out of our public spaces requires a holistic approach encompassing behavioural psychology, community engagement, logistics of local governments, technology, education, city planning and packaging design. KAB NSW facilitates communication between these distinct bodies to produce a collaborative approach for overall best practice.

With an emphasis on thoughtful and research-based methods of inquiry and with input from a range of sectors, the Litter Congress provides the opportunity for individuals and groups involved in litter management, prevention and reduction to assemble to jointly tackle littering and behaviour change in an interactive environment.

Delegates will go home from the Congress with a deep understanding of the theory behind litter reduction and a comprehensive toolkit of practical ideas to tackle litter in their community.
